 Το Δ.Σ. του Δήμου Σφακίων συνήλθε σε συνεδρίαση την 09-01 για τα αξιώματα του Προεδρείου για τη διετία 2011-2012 και για την Οικονομική Επιτροπή.
Για το Δημοτικό Συμβούλιο εκλέχθηκαν οι παρακάτω:
α) Πρόεδρος η Δημοτική Σύμβουλος κα. Σφηνιά Αφροδίτη,
β)Αντιπρόεδρος η Δημοτική Σύμβουλος κα.Γλυμενάκη-Κριαρά Νεκταρία,
γ) Γραμματέας ο Δημοτικός Σύμβουλος κ. Παπαδόσηφος Ιωάννης.
Για την Οικονομική Επιτροπή που αποτελείται από τον Δήμαρχο κ. Πολάκη Παύλο,
εκλέχθηκαν οι παρακάτω:

Bearing in mind the economic crisis and the Greek economy which had led the country and people into a difficult situation.

To be aware that mistakes are human only if they offend the one who has made them and not the people nor the region. Furthermore, it must be clear that the Municipality won't give up although it will struggle side by side with its citizens in order to develop the region.

Within the framework of this philosophy, we have decided, along with the Community Corporation of Sfakia, to go into this direction.
We have chosen to particularly deal with the fields which will enhance the life of the groups in difficulty of our municipality such as: old and young people, farmers but also with tourism, culture, our gorges, environmental education as well as the voluntary participation of the citizens into the following actions:
